Highway Prophet
Hello to all my friends out there. I'm just getting back into the spirit of writing which is brought on by the arrival of Spring and the disappearance of Winter. Since we haven't spoken in a while, I want to bring you up to speed on what I've been working on in the Winter months:
As many of you know from keeping in touch with me on Facebook, we are releasing the 1st of 4 music videos that we have been working on during Daytona Bike Week on March 11th. I chose Sunday because it's my first show in Daytona, I'm headlining at Iron Horse Saloon, and it's the first day of Daylight Savings Time. It seemed appropriate for a day of celebration and release of new things. I will be showing the music video on a big screen after my show on Sunday night so I hope you can be there to share in the magic. I plan on showing it at all my headlining shows during Bike Week and will also have laptop stations for you to listen for yourselves before, during, and after our other shows. We are very excited to have all of you to share in our creation.
I have worked very hard to make myself ever changing and constantly evolving and I think that it's time I share something that I've been afraid to share for fear of rejection....my original music and ideas. I've made myself popular as a cover band and although there's no question that we can cover practically any genre out there perfectly, our original songs are really no different than the "top picks" we play every night for you and I think it's time that I really reveal my inner self to everyone. I'm writing this now because I know I will forget and I want to remind myself and I am worthy of it and that I can do it. My biggest fear has always been that of rejection and strangely enough, I've been dealing with rejection my entire life and I somehow managed to keep going anyway. That proves to me that I am ready to face the world with what I believe in and I plan on bringing it to you in the most amazing way possible.
I am working day in and day out to design a stage set and props for a one-of-a-kind set featuring nothing but Jasmine Cain original music and the "light" that I see it in. The show will be packed with performers, a symphony, stage props, pyrotechnics, and the best of what Jasmine Cain has to offer. To commemorate this epic event, I am inviting everyone to join us when we debut the show in Jackson, TN next fall. We will be filming the show and releasing it on DVD next year for everyone who was unable to witness it first hand. If what I see in my head is half as exciting as what you'll see on DVD, it will be amazing.
Along with learning about myself and facing my biggest fears this year, I've awakened to a certain awareness I didn't have before and now I see things for exactly what they are. This awareness is changing the way I live my life and the way I perform. I hope you can embrace the difference as I have and appreciate the raw soul that has found it's way back into my being. This is where I first began. This is what made me what I am. And now it has come full circle. People say that many bands that became famous years ago would've never gotten a 2nd look if they were put in front of our current hyper-critical society that I am living with now, so I guess this is my true testament to my talent. If I can start where I started then and show you that I'm great now, then I will have faced my fear and conquered it. So God willing...I'm going to try. I'll see you all on the road.
