Jeffery Caughron
Born and raised in Arkansas my musical adventure started after my first rock concert at the age of 14. That week my friend who went to the show with me sold me his guitar so we could start a band. Up to that point my mother had tried to get my interested in guitar by showing me a few chords here and there but it wasn’t until after that concert I realized… I was destined to be a rockstar!
I started taking some lessons but after a few short months the teacher told my mother that I didn’t need a teacher anymore and it was a waste of money…so I taught myself from then on. I watched everybody I could and at night I would listen to my favorite music and try to figure out the leads. I didn’t have a social life because music consumed all my time. I would continue playing in several small bands for years and eventually joined a band that gave me the opportunity to open for a national act called Every Mother’s Nightmare. After playing that show the singer for the band asked me to become their guitarist and I gladly accepted. I played with EMN for about 13 years and I grew up quickly as a musician.
Recording 4 albums, 3 tributes’ and selling CD’s all over the world. I shared the stage, tour buses and collaborated with some of the biggest rockstars in the business. It was a learning lesson for what was ahead. Preparing me for bigger things!
Eventually it was time to pursue other projects and I ended up joining a band that was hired for two weeks to backup Jasmine Cain. I knew that’s who I wanted to play with and eventually jumped on board with her. I’ve been with Jasmine Cain since 2006 touring and writing. We just released a new album titled “Locks & Keys” and I couldn’t be any happier about it. This is the best band I’ve ever been a part of and it’s only getting better.
Jasmine's word on Jeffery Caughron:
When I met Jeff, I had no idea he was as talented as he was, nor was I aware of the success he has had with his previous band, Every Mother’s Nightmare. Jeff has always been so down-to-earth and easy going. Jeff’s biggest contribution to this band, besides his stage presence and calm country-boy attitude, is that we have become a killer writing team. I have attempted to write with several co-writers and very rarely do you find one that you connect with that easily. Jeff and I have written several songs together, many of which ended up on our new album, “Locks and Keys”. With this project, Jeff was completely in control of the guitar parts for this album which is something he had never really had the opportunity to control. It was a growing experience for us both musically and professionally and it was obvious to us from the very first time we met each other that we would be working together and we will continue to turn out killer guitar riff oriented rockin’ songs for years to come. He is a vital piece of the puzzle.
David Michael Thomas
David Michael Thomas was created by the Prince of Darkness's younger brother Fred in an effort to scare keyboard players all over the world into rocking harder. Rising from the mud of Missouri in 1977, Demon-Baby Dave wasted no time in picking up a violin at the age of 2 years 9 months, learning it, and assaulting another child violinist with it at the age of four. This random act of violins inspired his parents to take away his fiddle and replace it with a piano, a substantially heavier instrument that was much less likely to be used to commit battery. David formed his first band at age 12, and at the age of 18 joined a heavy metal outfit known as The Voodoo Hippies (Fronted be current Day Of Fire frontman Josh Brown), cranking out 2 albums with the band during his 3 year tenure. Deciding upon a change of pace, he took a job as the token white guy in the band of blues legend "Little" Milton Campbell, sharing the stage with such luminaries as B.B. King, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Johnny Winter, Ike Turner, The Temptations and many others. 6 months into Dave's year-long stint with Little Milton he was promoted to bandleader, becoming the second youngest person to ever lead Milton's band after blues keyboard great "Lucky" Peterson. This was followed by 3 more years of touring internationally with R&B/Blues diva Denise LaSalle, playing all over the U.S., Canada, Europe and Japan. In the year 2000 David co-founded The Grove with Jonathon Singleton and continued to write, record, and hit the road like it owed him money (which it did). He continued to maintain his connections with various musicians all over the world and in 2002 crossed paths with the high priestess of hard rock, Jasmine Cain...and the rest is demented, balls to the wall, high octane, heavy metal history.
Hi. My name is David Michael Thomas, and I approve this message.
Jasmine's word on David Michael Thomas:
I met David within the 1st week of moving from South Dakota to Tennessee in January, 2003. At that time David was playing keys in a well-known Jackson band, The Grove. That band is really responsible for my first gigs because they would let me get up and jam with them at their shows. The bar owners would dig it and they would hire me for my own shows. David and I were introduced by guitarist, Mike Reeves, formerly of Full Devil Jacket. We spiraled in and out of each others world for years until David finally came to terms with his demons and put down the bottle. He had lost his band at that point, but he hadn’t lost his talent or his songwriting ability and with his newly found freedom from alcohol, he was an even bigger asset than before. During his recovery, it was important that he surround himself with people who were clean and we were the perfect fit for him. When David came aboard, I felt like I had just found a gold mine. Never before have I worked with such an intellectual genius who possessed talents beyond anything that anyone else I have ever met in my life was capable of. There is nothing he can’t do, there is nothing he can’t play, there is no song that he can’t write, and there is nothing you can say to stump him in anyway. I like to think of David as the John Lennon of the new age because he is going to change the world in so many ways. I am honored to have him by my side and I am even more honored to call him my friend.
